TRANSPORTATION
Ege University Campus is located in the metropolitan district Bornova, and within easy reach from anywhere in the city. Public transport to Bornova consists mainly of the municipal network of the underground and the bus, on which fees can be paid either in cash, or with the pre-pay ticket Kentkart ('Citycard'). Basic fare on the underground and the buses is 2TRL but only 1.35TRL for Kentkart holders. Privately owned minibuses and taxis can be used to reach the Campus as well. From the Airport to Bornova From the Airport to the City Centre From the City Centre to Bornova Arriving in Bornova by taking a taxi from the city centre will cost around 20TRL. Alternatively you can take the number 62 or 63 public buses to Bornova, or the underground both of which cost 2TRL. The final destination of the 62 and 63 public buses, and the underground is Bornova Metro Station, from where you can take a five-minutes taxi ride (which should cost around 6-7TRL) to the Faculty of Letters (‘Ege Üniversitesi Edebiyat Fakültesi’ in Turkish), Hotel Ege Sağlık, and the Guesthouse (‘Ege Üniversitesi Konukevi’ in Turkish).
